You can consult the patient information leaflet for your medicine at any time via the medicinal products database. To do this, enter the name (or part of the name) of the medicine in the search bar. By clicking on the magnifying glass you will get a list of search results. You can then download and print the patient information leaflet for your medicine.
The patient information leaflet contains important information. Always read it carefully and follow the instructions closely. Should you still have questions, be sure to contact your doctor or pharmacist.
The patient information leaflet contains important information about the medicine, such as:
- its intended purpose;
- how it should be used;
- when you should not use the medicine;
- when to be careful with the medicine;
- what side effects may occur;
- the substances the medicine contains.
The patient information leaflet is available in Dutch, French and German. Patient information leaflets are available for both human and veterinary medicines.
In addition to the patient information leaflet that is familiar to the public, you can also consult the summary of product characteristics (SPC) via the medicinal products database. This document contains even more scientific information about the medicine and is primarily used by healthcare professionals.
