From January 1st, 2026: mandatory electronic invoicing via Peppol

date: 20/10/2025

From January 1, 2026 onwards all Belgian VAT-liable companies are required to send electronic invoices via the Peppol network. For correct processing of your data, please send your Peppol ID to the FAMHP now.

As of 2026, all Belgian VAT-liable companies subject to VAT will be obliged to invoice electronically via Peppol. The FAMHP is already working with Peppol.

Are you a business partner of the FAMHP? Please send your Peppol data as soon as possible to fin@fagg-afmps.be in order to receive and pay our invoices smoothly and correctly.

What is Peppol?
Peppol is an international network where companies and governments can safely and efficiently exchange electronic transactions. Thanks to its strong governance, standardisation, a global approach and extensive decentralisation, Peppol makes electronic invoicing accessible to everyone. This enables automation that eliminates most of the administrative work involved in traditional invoicing.

Since 2016, the FPS BOSA in Belgium has taken on the role of Peppol authority. The network operates on the basis of uniform standards, protocols and agreements that guarantee unrestricted interoperability between organisations, regardless of the systems used.
